Cast and Cure™
Affordable, Sustainable Embellishment
Stunning graphics, delivered sustainably
Sustainable Print Decoration
Cast and Cure creates stunning print decoration with a dramatically low carbon footprint. Cast and Cure film is reusable and recyclable, diverting tons of material from the landfill every year compared with traditional embellishments like cold foil and lamination. Cast and Cure uses ultraviolet coatings and varnishes, emitting no harmful VOCs. Cast and Cure deposits no detrimental metals or other materials that can affect the compostability or recyclability of the underlying substrate.
Low emissions
Cast and Cure does not use metalized layers or solvent-based adhesives, instead using ultraviolet coatings and varnishes. As a result, it does not release any dangerous VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the atmosphere.
Maintains substrate compostability
Since it relies on eco-friendly UV, EB, or LED light to cure the coating and does not deposit metal on the substrate, Cast and Cure does NOT alter the underlying substrate’s recyclability or the ability of the substrate to be composted.
Reusable film
Cast and Cure film can be reused multiple times, reducing the amount of film consumed compared with holographic foils or laminated holographic board. Less film used means less fuel during transportation, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. With the right equipment and proper planning, printers may be able to reuse the film 10 times or more, reducing inventory needs and cost per square inch.
Recyclable film - linerless application
When it reaches the end of its lifespan, Cast and Cure film can be recycled, diverting tons of material from the landfill every year.
