Holographic Effects
The Cast and Cure technology has long been used to produce holographic and unique finishes on a wide variety of substrates for dynamic product packaging, decorative balloons, attractive stickers, award-winning brochures, brand security elements, and more.
Refracting light by embossing UV coatings
Specific angles and depths to the embossing area are embedded into the film that refracts and bends light as it travels through the coating. When the embossed side of the casting film is laminated to a wet UV coating, the coating is forced into the shape of the mold (or casting film, in this case). The mold is then set or “cured” via LED, ultraviolet, or electron beam light. After curing, the casting film is removed from the primary web/sheet and rewound for reuse, leaving the coating molded into the mirror image of the casting film.
